On my wilderness tour to Canada, my last day was at the Gaspesie Peninsula. It was a place filled with both wilderness and culture with nature’s best cuisine, Trip to Gaspe was a sheer experience that even included the French culture especially the food.

Our day started with a sumptuous breakfast at a nearby restaurant; a French dish with lots of cranberries. We then left for the Gaspesie National Park, it took several hours of driving as it is quite in the interior. We marked about 8 mile hike there and fortunately we had guides there who took us through the international extension of the Appalachian Trail in the Chic Choc Mountains. The trail was quite rocky and uneven, it twist up and down through the tree roots and rocky surfaces. We almost covered a long route of 1000 feet but such a rough and curvy road made us tire more. But the views from those cliffs made the whole effort worth it. The view covered the tree covered hills, snow dusted ridges and the wide valley. It made me feel quite historic and mesmerizing. After such a great hike, all that I needed was a good gourmet that could lull me and give, me a relaxed sense of well being.

The next day was a great achievement for me, as we were all well ready before the dawn sun rise. We had to just trail a little height and the aim was to witness the frolicking couple of moose in the nature’s arms. As ii started my trail I saw two moose bang antlers in the soft glowing cast of the rising sun, all that I could express was a pure bliss of magic.  The trail was all covered with the rocks, rolling down snow and the impressive trees with no sign of human-civilization. The only audible sound there was of the antlers keening from youngsters and clanging of older antlers. We started moving in the opposite and the hike now was fast and smooth. I reached my hotel. It was my last chance to get delighted again with the cuisine here or I can say the gustatory delights.

The place enchanted my whole Canadian experience and made it a bag full of delights. If ever I come down to Canada again I would never miss the chance of visiting this place all over again.
