After Burj Khalifa, I decided to get on with my travelling experience of exploring the rarest infrastructure in Dubai, which incidentally or coincidentally is unique for the world. Waiting in the list was the only seven-star hotel in the world, Burj al Arab. This is the tallest hotel on the earth, today.

I took a taxi from Dubai city to Jumeirah beach; the drive extended to 15 km approximately through the busy highways. When I reached there, I came to know that Burj al Arab is proudly standing on a manmade island. Then I got a shocking news which shattered all my imaginations for a second. I felt like getting back to my room.

You might be wondering what the reason was. The taxi driver told me that I cannot even walk through the causeway without a reservation in the hotel. Visitors are not admitted and even for a meal, reservation is strictly required. Now, it left me with an option of capturing the beauty of the hotel from quite a long distance. I was sad, but had no other choice.

I felt that the hotel was like an Arabian vessel with two wings spread in a V form, the space between which is enclosed by massive atrium. Tom Wills-Wright got the opportunity to build the most glamorous hotel in the world. A major attraction is the fountain with light and fire that is displayed according to the condition. I reached the hotel by evening, so I decided to wait till night when the hotel is lit up by myriad of colors. I was stun to see the atmosphere that was created and it literally looked like a place in heaven. I could easily see the helipad on the top but was not able to see the tennis court that sails on the top. It is designed with floor to ceiling and wall to wall windows, which according to me would be giving the best panoramic view of Dubai.

Even though I was not able to enter into the hotel, I got some information about the hotel. Burj al Arab has the world’s biggest lobby with 202 duplex suites. The rate of the suite begins from $1000 per night to $28000 per night, making it one of the most expensive hotels in the world. You should also take care of the reservation as they get packed before a week.

My pocket could not afford the internal excitement of the hotel but I was pleased with the outer beauty that portraits a marvelous structure. The external finish of Burj al Arab is worth watching.
