On my list of Tour to Paris, the next place was the charismatic Saint-Sulpice church. Like many other visitors, I came to visit this church due to Da Vinci Code in which the church played a significant role.
Saint-Sulpice is a big, late Baroque parish church situated in the neighborhood of Place Saint-Sulpice in Paris. At 34 meters tall, 58 meters in width and 113 meters long, it is somewhat smaller than Notre-Dame, the largest church in Paris.
I was relieved to see that the church wasn’t too crowded on the day I was there. Though I’m not an architecture student, I wondered why church’s two towers are different heights, and why one of them isn’t even finished. I spent a long time staring at the church to understand the architecture style of St Sulpice. I walked through the church in silence with my eyes and ears wide open, hair standing on end!
As I said earlier, I haven’t been into architecture, yet walking into the century old buildings, seeing the tainted glass windows; dazzling paintings on the ceilings and knowing how old everything in the church was took my breath away.
I had so much fun exploring… the interior sculptures, the exterior façade, paintings, the mystic meridian line, the giant organ… my favorite spot of St Sulpice is the Chapelle de la Madone… astounding sculpture!
Saint Sulpice was the most excellent (of the churches I had seen). The church is dedicated to Sulpitius the Pious. Art lovers will definitely note one of the last works of Eugene Delacroix in Saint-Sulpice, close to the main entrance.
In my opinion, Saint Sulpice church is not less beautiful than Notre Dame, by any means. I think, if Notre Dame is a girl on red carpet attracting all the spot lights, Saint Sulpice must be a girl next door… quiet, low key, still gorgeous…!!!

My next most spiritual destination was the Kumbhmela held in Haridwar. While reading books, I had also read about the

On my journey towards spiritual India, I also experienced one of the weird temples of India.

After visiting the religious places of India, I thought of visiting the meditation center of Maharashtra where I would be relaxed and get peace of mind.
