Dixon Lake: A night fishing experience

It's fun to enjoy our hobbies like fishing alone. But, just think, how wonderful it can be when your loved ones or family members are with you. You might think that what is the relation of all these things with fishing? Well, it’s because, this time, I thought of taking my family with me for fishing and was searching for some lake in San Diego that has all the family recreational necessities. Fortunately, I got a lake called Dixon Lake which is best for fishing along with family members.When I along with my family members visited the lake, I found that the place surrounding the lake is perfect for picnic and camping, but I think it’s more suitable for a fisherman who can enjoy fishing at Dixon Lake.) The picnic and camping facilities are most attractive and the cleanest of other lakes in the area. I didn't find any trash around the lake because of the availability of various trash cans for maintaining cleanliness.

The facilities for the campsite were very good. Forty four individual campsites were nestled above the lake into the hills, each with a stove, table and food locker. Dixon Lake offers fishes like Rainbow Trout, Channel Catfish, Bluegill, and Largemouth Bass. It is very famous for night fishing, which can be very good. Night fishing is difficult because you have to fish in the dark with the chirping of the crickets and other sounds of insects.

On a fine day, we went out from our campsite for fishing, and hired a motorboat. The water of Dixon Lake appeared like an aquarium and was very clean and transparent with a visibility to 10 feet. Unfortunately, we were unable to catch any fish in spite of trying a lot. Finally, we decided to go back to the campsite and come back again another day. But my brother and I decided to come back again at night to the lake and try again. We waited a lot and I started packing to come back, but suddenly my brother shouted “Hurray, I got a fish!” I turned towards him and saw a big Channel Catfish in his hand. He was very happy and I was quite jealous of him. Yeah, of course, it's a natural thing. But my jealousy was for just some time. We returned to our campsite happily with a Catfish in a container.

We enjoyed fishing a lot in the night at Dixon Lake and returned home with lots of memories. However, I am looking for the day when I get a chance to visit Dixon Lake again!
